Caso Clínico #98

Caso Clínico #98

Today I present to you a case of extreme difficulty. This patient had been operated on for over 10 years, on the nasal septum (by another surgeon). After recurrent infections there was a total absence of septal cartilage. As a result, only the nasal bones themselves and the lower alar cartilages remained. As this process took place over the years, the skin of the nose itself retracted. The challenge was tremendous but the nearly 6 hours of surgery were worth it. About 6 weeks have passed since the #rhinoplasty with the use of costal cartilage, and there is still some edema (especially in the radix area) but the main objective was achieved: to give back a nose to the patient’s face. Thank you for all your trust and for having authorized the sharing of the case.
