Today’s patient, apart from functional issues, was unhappy with the appearance of her nose. She had what we call a saddle nose. This patient had to prior septoplasties at the age of 10 and 23 by another surgeon.This phenomenon gives the sensation of the presence of a “false” hump. In these cases, it is almost always necessary to use rib cartilage to reconstruct the nasal septum and that is what happened in this case. It’s been 7 months since the surgery and we’ve already got a completely natural nose, with more tip projection and without the “false” hump. This such a nice patient was very positive about the whole process and from the beginning she realized the difficulty of her case.
